Ratings & Reviews

Making this recipe for the third time, which will be it's fourth appearance with our extended family/friends. Always a hit with everyone, even those that aren't crazy about sweet potatoes!

Delicious...even those who don't like sweet potatoes loved this recipe.

I cooked russet potatoes and yams together and mashed them together. I also used garlic herb cream cheese. I layered between a combo of mozza/cheddar and parmesan cheeses and it was delicious! Went very well with the gravy and our Thanksgiving turkey!

New family favourite!

big hit!!! this will become a xmas tradition and the best part is being able to make it ahead and then just popping it in the oven when the turkey comes out to rest.

very nice

This is one of those OMG recipes. Everyone loves it and I've passed on the recipe to many. It is a request each Good Friday and Christmas Eve.

This is a wonderful dis. I take it to Pot Luck events and someone always requests the recipe

this recipe was delicous, would definately make it again Vi

Delicious. Loved it and the texture. Maybe a little more grated cheese on the top.

I make this every year for the holidays! But I'm a cheese lover so I always add more. Great recipe!

I made this for New Years Day dinner and served it with the Garlic and Herb Crusted Prime Rib. These potatoes were a hit, although my son thought they were a little rich tasting. I will definitely make them again, but may try a different flavour of cream cheese product.

I made this for something a litte different this Christmas dinner. Although I had skeptical family members, in the end everyone loved it! Will definatley be making again. The great thing is that it can be made in advance which really cuts down on the work when preparing a special occaison meal.

Excellent, family favorite. I used a ice cream scoop and carefully scooped each portion onto the plate so you got a mound with all the layers showing. Delicious everytime!!!!!!

This dish was an absolute hit at Thanksgiving dinner this year! It satisfied both the mash potato lovers and the sweet potato lovers. They now want me to make it every year!

Friends and family very impressed when I served this. It has become a favorite at big meals. Even my picky son eats this dish. Leftovers are great also.

same ingredient but I added green onions to white potatos and I added 1tsp of cinamon on the sweet potatos to give a little flavor it was so delicious I got a lots of complement from ourt guests, My husband and my kids loved it ...You should try it

Excellent! Rave reviews at Thanksgiving dinner.

I tried this recipe for Thanksgiving. I brought this as a side dish to our lovely friend's house who was hosting the Thanksgiving dinner. It complimented her yummy turkey very well. When I was buying the sweet potato, there was yam and red sweet potato. I didn't know which one to get. The red sweet potato in raw form was white inside. And the yam was orange. The grocery staff was telling me that the red sweet potato taste sweeter. But I went with my instinct that I wanted to get the colourful layer and bought the yam. I'm not sure if yam and sweet potato are the same, but recipe turned out perfectly. Thank-you for sharing this recipe, I'll definitely use it again!

I made this recipe two years ago for thanksgiving and have been asked to make during all our family dinners! Everyone loved it (even the kids)

Just wonderful, easy and so tasty. Everyone loved it

I amde this for thanksgiving last year- rave reviews from everyone...I am definitely making it again. So yummy!!

Didn't use the full container of onion/chive cream cheese - too rich. Also - can substitute the grated parmesan cheese with the shredded Italian cheese mixture (provolone, mozzerella, romano and parm). Family loved it!!

very tastey, visually appealing, different I will make this again

Made this for Christmas dinner. It was so delicious, I was asked to make it again for this year.

My family loves this.I make this as part of my christmas dinner.A great treat that goes over very well with family and freinds.

This is my every occasion potato casserole. Everyone who has tried it loved it. I don't care for sweet potatos but in this they are devine.

I made this for 2 family dinners & everyone loved it. Even people who were not too sure about sweet potatoes. I highly recommend this receipe.

My family just loved this recipe. Guests enjoyed it too.

Very good. I used regular cream cheese to work around an allergy of a guest, and was still very tasty!

We made it for Thanksgiving dinner. It was a big hit.

Easy to make.

Even my 3 year old loves this and she is not a potato fan! I get asked the recipe for this all the time, it's great!

Excellent! A definite keeper! There were no leftovers!

Kids really loved it

YUM! Everyone LOVED this recipe. I will make it again and again.

This was a great tasting recipe

Wonderful dish. I have made it twice and the second time omitted the cheese. It came out just as nice and less costly to prepare.

My husband, the picky one, loved it! Even after complaining all day that I can't make anything plain for him to eat!!

Awesome ! everyone loved it.. Thanks for a new tradition.

What an amazing recipe! I made this for Christmas dinner and everyone ate the whole thing, and raved about it. I have a few people who dont like sweet potatoes, and they loved it! I followed the suggestions of others and just did 2 layers (one layer white potatoes on bottom, one layer of sweet on top), and it was fantastic!!!!! Definitely a keeper!

This recipe was a hit at our family Christmas dinner. Everyone asked for the recipe.

This dish has become an anual tradition on our holiday table. I even have friends asking me for the recipe!

This is the yummiest version of Mashed Potatoes I have ever tried! I now make this recipe instead of regular mashed potatoes, as it's mixture of cheese and garlic have become a definate crowd pleaser!

I made this recipe for Thanksgiving dinner and being able to make it 2 days in advance really was an asset and it turned out to be a great hit . Everyone just loved it , even the children ! I have been instructed to make it again for Christmas dinner .

Absolutely fabulous! Made it for Thanksgiving and everyone LOVED IT! I left out the additional cheeses to cut down on fat for those who add gravy to their potatoes. Still extremely flavourful and delicious.

Excellent, my new favorite way to serve potaotes! Whole family enjoyed very much, I did use yams instead of sweet potatoes and it was still fantastic.

Yummy!.I made this dish this past X.mas because I love sweet potatoes and yams, however, the rest of family are not big fans on sweet potatoes...but they LOVED this dish. So even if you are not a big fan of sweet potatoes you should try this recipe.

It's a great side for a nice dinner or a week night too.

I made this recipe for my family and it was soooo good. Everyone loved it.It was also very easy to prepare. I made mine ahead and put the cheese on just before baking this saves alot of time when your cooking a big dinner for family and other guests. It was so good that my husbands family has asked for it again for easter dinner...

Absolutely the best. Easy, quick and goes with just about anything. Also good cold. I added extra cheese because we are cheese lovers.

This has fast become a family favorite. I would recommend adding more chive and onion spread to both potatoes to add more zip to the dish. Extremely ymmuy! A must have!

This was great only we used Sharp Cheese

I made this receipe for the first time on Sun. and it was a hit. I only made two layers as there ended up only being two of us for supper. I found it very good heated up the next day. I will definitely make it again. It is good because it is not too sweet like most receipes I have for sweet potatoes.

Fantastic recipe! I have made it several times. I use the lighter coloured sweet potatoes, not the orange yam ones and they are delicious. Everyone always asks for this recipe when I make it.

Have made this several times and the family loves it. Looks great when entertaining.

Absolutely Fantastic!!

I made this for Thanksgiving Dinner "2005" and was actually embarrassed at the negative response I got from everyone including myself. Bland, boring and really missed the typical "potatoe" dishes. I rated this right after Thanksgiving yet have not seen my rating appear yet? I think this will be the last time I try something new at a dinner party before testing it ahead of time. But I will continue to try other new recipes.

I made this recipe for Christmas Dinner. Everyone LOVED it!!!. Even two of my sons who dislike sweet potatoes, really liked it. It's a definite keeper in my recipe box.

I made this for our Xmas dinner, and everyone loved them. Really looked nice and festive in the serving dish. Will definetly make it again.

I made this recipe for a potluck party and EVERYONE loved it. I used an icing bag to layer the second portion of the white potato because it is stiffer than the sweet potato layer. Worked well. Yummers!!!!

My husband told me this was a keeper and the recipe is on it's way to Bazil. Easy to make and great taste & presenatation

i never really had a good recipe for sweet potatoes and this is a nice solution. especially with the cheese.

Absolutely fabulous, will never make potatoes the same old way again. My men loved this recipe and have asked for it over and over.

This has been getting rave reviews everytime I make it. One alteration I do is to just make 2 layers, as putting stiffer white potatoes over "wetter" sweet is finicky. I layer white on bottom, then sweet on top.

This was enjoyed by the family at Thanksgiving - went great with the turkey and a nice change from the ordinary mashed potato.

I made this for the family dinner at Thanksgiving and even the ones that do not like sweet potatoes, loved this. I would make this again and I will probably make this at Christmas.

I usually make mashed potatoes and mashed sweet potatoes for festive dinners anyhow. Combining them with the cheese was a much needed new twist for my family.

While this was no doubt good, and everyone had seconds, I think that it was good because the sweet potato part was excellent, and the white potato part just OK. Next time, I'm going to double the sweet potato part and leave out the white potatoes entirely.

I made this to have with our Christmas Dinner in 2004! It was easy to make and delicious!! The whole family loved it and asked for the recipe!! I will be making it again, perhaps for Thanksgiving!!

I used yams instead of sweet potatoes. Delicious!

This recipe really didn't work for me. Despite loving all the ingredients, I found that the flavours just didn't blend well together.

This was simple easy and delicous.I am not a real fan of sweet potatoes, but in this recipe it is just heavinly.I made it last year for thanksgiving and I have been asked to make it again this year.Simply awesome!

I made this for my family last night and it was an all around successs. It was sort of like a trial run to see if I should serve it at Thanksgiving and I definately will be.

Very good, definetly a keeper.

This recipe has now replaced scalloped potatoes as my boys (2 sons & husband) favourite potato dish at Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. Another two thunbs up!!!

This was awesome. Made it for Christmas eve to go with dinner and the family loved it.

I am always finding way to jazz up potato and this recipe came up with the goods, I love cheese with potatoes so I will be making this again and again!

A great way to sneak sweet potato into the kids. The whole family loved it.

Great Recipe!!! I used a few more potatoes than called for and a little bit of extra cheese on the top!! A total hit at Thanksgiving.

YUMMY! I made it for Thanksgiving and it was a great success. EVERYONE loved it, even the picky ones!

Delicious! Enough said.

This is great! The whole family loves it! It's also delicious with herb and garlic cream cheese.

This is a great dish, everyone loved it at thanksgiving.

Excellent, big hit at Thanksgiving. Next time I would only have two layers.

Fantastic and freezes well so it can be made ahead of time !

This was a great recipe! Served it at a family potluck and even the ones who never had sweet potatoes thought it was delicious.

My daughter made this for our Thanksgiving Dinner and it was enjoyed by all

This recipe was soooo easy and absolutely delicious! What a great way to pair sweet and white potatoes! Not too sweet, either!

Making this dish ahead was great. Everyone loved these potatoes. The leftovers will be extra flavorful in potatoe pancakes.

I had an unexzpexted dinner party for familt and friends and amde this .Everyone raved at how good it was Thank you Kraft!!!!!!!!!!!

This was an excellent addition to Thanksgiving dinner. It was a big hit, easy to make and looked festive too :)

So Delicious! I have already made it twice!

It was delicious, even the kids loved it! It was easy to make also.

Fabulous...I used a few more white potatoes than the recipe called for and turned out great!

This was fabulous!! A must try, I do not like sweet potatoes usually and this was great!

I made this dish for my family. They all loved it and my husband couldn't get enough of it....loved it...

It was delicious !! Very creamy with rich flavours. Great the next day to heat up, cant keep my fingers out of the pan !

Fabulous. I made it as an accompaniment to ham. Made a great change from scallop potatoes or candied yams. You get the best of both worlds with this one. I also made it the day before and then reheated. A great time saver and would be a great addition to a pot luck supper.
