  • Heat oven to 375°F.
  • Reserve 1/4 cup mozzarella for later use. Mix remaining mozzarella with meat, onions, bread crumbs, Parmesan and eggs just until blended; shape into 10x5-inch loaf. Place in 13x9-inch baking dish sprayed with cooking spray.
  • Mix remaining ingredients until blended; pour over meatloaf.
  • Bake 55 min. to 1 hour or until meatloaf is done (160°F). Sprinkle with reserved mozzarella; bake 2 min. or until melted.
  • Serve meatloaf topped with sauce.

Keeping it Safe

After shaping the meatloaf with your hands, be sure to wash your hands thoroughly with soap and hot water for at least 20 sec. A quick rinse under the faucet is not enough to kill any harmful bacteria.

Cook Ground Meat Thoroughly

Cook ground beef thoroughly and evenly. The colour of the raw ground meat can vary from bright red to light pink. Do not rely on the colour of the meat to check for doneness but use an instant read thermometer instead. Ground beef should be cooked to an internal temperature of 160°F.

How to Use the Remaining Bruschetta

Store the remaining bruschetta in refrigerator up to 1 week. Heat and toss with your favourite hot cooked pasta to serve as part of your next meal.
