  • Heat broiler.
  • Combine all ingredients except baguette.
  • Place baguette halves, cut sides up, on baking sheet. Broil, 6 inches from heat, 1 to 2 min. or until lightly toasted.
  • Spread bread with tomato mixture. Broil 3 to 5 min. or until heated through.
  • Cut each baguette half into 9 slices. Serve warm.

Substitute

Prepare with your favourite fresh herb or blend of fresh herbs, such as basil and/or cilantro, for the suggested fresh herbs.

Variation

For a change of pace, broil baguette halves as directed. Cut each half into 9 slices, then top with the tomato mixture and serve. No need to broil the second time.
