  • Heat oven to 375°F.
  • Cook pasta as directed on package, omitting salt.
  • Meanwhile, heat oil in large nonstick skillet on medium heat. Add vegetables and garlic; cook 8 min. or until onions are crisp-tender, stirring frequently.
  • Drain pasta in colander, reserving 1/4 cup of the cooking water. Add pasta sauce to skillet. Pour reserved cooking water into pasta sauce jar. Cover with lid; shake to remove any pasta sauce remaining in jar. Add to pasta sauce in skillet; mix well. Bring just to boil, stirring frequently. Remove from heat. Add pasta and half the cheese; mix lightly.
  • Spoon into 13x9-inch baking dish sprayed with cooking spray; top with remaining cheese. Cover.
  • Bake 25 to 30 min. or until heated through, uncovering after 20 min.

Special Extra

Sprinkle with 2 Tbsp. slivered fresh basil just before serving.


Substitute 4-1/2 cups uncooked penne pasta for the broken lasagna noodles.
