  • Place macaroni in medium microwaveable bowl. Add salt and 1/2 cup boiling water; cover with waxed paper.
  • Microwave on HIGH 3 min., stirring after 2 min.
  • Add cheddar, cream cheese product and remaining water; stir. Microwave, covered, 2 min., stirring after 1 min. Let stand 2 min. or until macaroni is desired tenderness.

Special Extra

Add chopped cooked chicken or ham, flaked drained canned tuna, hot cooked peas, sliced green onions and/or chopped fresh chives to the finished mac & cheese; mix lightly. Microwave 1 to 2 min. or until heated through.

Serving Suggestion

Serve topped with Heinz Tomato Ketchup or Heinz Chili Sauce.
