These flavourful cheese balls can be prepared in advance. Refrigerate up to 3 days before serving. Or, freeze up to 2 weeks; thaw in refrigerator before serving.
For a change of pace, substitute Cracker Barrel Shredded Double Cheddar Cheese for the mozzarella, and 2 Tbsp. each chopped fresh parsley, basil and chives for the Italian seasoning.
Substitute 1/4 cup finely chopped oil-packed sun-dried tomatoes for the bacon bits.

I made this recipe for our Christmas dinner and it sure was a real hit. I rolled them in parsley flakes instead of walnuts as some of my guests do not like nuts. I froze the left over ones for next week.
I love this recipe!! I make it for every family function and work potluck, and it is always a huge hit. Instead of mini ones,I make one big Cheese Ball out of it!!
