  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Mix meat, 2/3 cup of cheese, 1/4 cup of the ketchup and garlic powder. Shape into 12 balls. Place on foil-covered baking sheet sprayed with cooking spray.
  • Flatten each ball into patty, about 1/2-inch thick. Bake 15 min. or until cooked through; drain.
  • Spread remaining ketchup on each patty; sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake an additional 5 min. or until cheese melts. Serve over rice.

Serving Suggestion

Serve with steamed mixed stir-fry vegetables.

Fun Idea

Serve mini-burgers in mini-pitas instead of on rice for a bite-sized dinner.

Substitute Kraft Original BBQ Sauce for the ketchup.

The meatballs turned out to be very tasty although I added a little bit of my own ingredients with it. I added a pinch of salt and pepper, a teaspoon of parsley, and 1/4 cup of quickcooking oats. They tasted really good, and I'm thinking the next time I do burgers, I might make them into my patties, without the melted cheese and ketchup on top before. I think I would like it served better with creamy mashed potatoes rather than white rice. That part was sort of bland.

Very easy to make - instead of ketchup I added BBQ sauce and a Parmesan and herb spice on top my cheese - it was really delicious - this recipe is a keeper....
