A great way to keep you warm on a cool day, this flavourful Moroccan Spicy Lentil and Chickpea Soup is oh so easy to make. This soup is so hearty it can be enjoyed on it's own, or served over hot cooked couscous or basmati rice.

  • Heat oil in large saucepan on medium-high heat. Add onions and garlic; cook 3 to 5 min. or until softened, stirring frequently. Add chickpeas, lentils and dry seasonings; mix well. Cook 2 min., stirring frequently.
  • Stir in vegetable cocktail; bring to boil. Simmer on medium-low heat 10 min., stirring occasionally.
  • Drizzle with lemon juice; top with sour cream and cilantro.

Special Extra

For a touch of heat, prepare using Heinz Spicy Vegetable Cocktail.
