  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Add Macaroni to large saucepan of boiling water; cook 6 min. or until tender. Drain. Stir in milk and Cheese Sauce Mix.
  • Pour into greased 8-inch square baking dish; top with tomatoes. Mix cracker crumbs and butter; sprinkle over tomatoes.
  • Bake 15 min. or until casserole is heated through and topping is golden brown.


You can replace the crushed crackers with 1 cup fresh bread crumbs. Just process day-old bread in food processor until fine crumbs form. Then, use as directed.

    You can not call thsi old fashioned when you use a mix, better to say use kraft cheeses....

    this is not old fashion . old fashion to me is using your own cooked macroni not kraft dinner. made mine with my own cooked macroni.would not make it with kraft dinner.

    Recipe is okay but definitely not 'Old Fashioned'. Old Fashioned is starting from scratch cooking the macaroni rather than opening a box of KD and not using ritz crackers. Okay for a quick meal but definitely not real home style mac and cheese.
