  • Brown meat in large skillet on medium-high heat; drain. Return to skillet.
  • Add water, salsa and Macaroni; stir. Bring to boil; cover. Simmer on low heat 10 min. or until macaroni is tender, stirring occasionally. Add corn and Cheese Sauce Mix; stir. Cook and stir 2 min. or until heated through.
  • Top with shredded cheese and onions.

Special Extra

For extra flavour, add 1 Tbsp. chili powder to the cooked meat along with the water, salsa and Macaroni.

Substitute

Substitute chopped red or yellow peppers for the corn.

Serving Suggestion

Serve with tortilla chips and guacamole.

    My hubby and I loved this dish! He asked me to make this again soon and for family gatherings! For left overs, he ate it in a toasted sandwich. All though I didn't try it, I fried my portion, he said it was really good and had a second. My mom had some of the fried leftovers and she loved it too! My 3 yr old wouldn't eat it but she tried it. She doesn't like salsa in any **** I guess. Next time I think I'll skip it, maybe use it as a sauce or add Garlic, a few more greens and onion:-)Very, very delicious just the way it is too!
