  • Beat eggs, milk, syrup, cinnamon and nutmeg in shallow dish with wire whisk until well blended; set aside. Spread 4 of the bread slices evenly with peanut butter; top with apples. Cover with remaining 4 bread slices.
  • Melt margarine in medium nonstick skillet on medium heat. Add two of the sandwiches to egg mixture; let stand 1 min., turning after 30 sec. Add to skillet; cook 2 to 3 min. on each side or until golden brown on both sides. Repeat with remaining two sandwiches.
  • Cut each sandwich in half to serve.


Prepare as directed, using Kraft Smooth Peanut Butter.

    The bread was so soggy, I couldn't even finish it. Maybe if you don't soak it for as long as the recipe calls for. Also, I didn't have any egg, so I just omitted it, and used 1% instead of skim.
