  • Heat oven to 350°F.
  • Line 9-inch square pan with foil, with ends of foil extending over sides; spray with cooking spray. Combine flour and baking powder. Beat butter, peanut butter and sugars in large bowl with mixer until light and fluffy. Add egg; mix well. Gradually add flour mixture, mixing well after each addition.
  • Pour 2/3 of the batter into prepared pan; spread to evenly cover bottom of pan. Drop tablespoonfuls of jam over batter in pan; swirl gently with knife. Top with spoonfuls of remaining batter; sprinkle with nuts.
  • Bake 40 to 45 min. or just until toothpick inserted in centre comes out with clean. (Do not overbake.) Cool completely. Use foil handles to remove dessert from pan before cutting into squares.

Note

These delicious dessert squares can be stored in tightly covered container at room temperature up to 5 days before serving.
