  • Just follow our simple steps

  • Peel and chop 8 medium turnips. (You should have about 11 cups.) Place in medium saucepan.
  • Add enough water to completely cover turnips. Bring to boil on medium-high heat. Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer 10 min. or until turnips are tender. Drain well.
  • Add 1 cup Philadelphia Light cream cheese product; mash lightly with potato masher or electric mixer just until turnip mixture is well blended. (Mixture will still be slightly lumpy.)

Turnips cooked in boiling water tend to retain water. For best results, be sure to drain the turnips well before mashing as directed.

    Turnips are difficult since so many people dislike them, but I've made this recipe 2 years in a row to go to christmas dinners and they have always been enjoyed!
