  • Whisk first 5 ingredients in medium bowl until well blended. Gradually stir in club soda, beating until smooth and well blended. (Batter will be thick.)
  • Heat oil in deep 10-inch skillet on medium-high heat to 350ºF. Add pickles to batter; stir to evenly coat. Remove from batter, 1 at a time; shake gently to remove excess batter. Add pickles, in batches, to skillet; cook 1 to 2 min. or until golden brown, turning frequently. Drain on paper towels. Serve warm.

Pickle Spears

For larger pieces, cut each pickle lengthwise into 4 spears. Coat with batter and fry as directed, increasing the cooking time to 2 to 4 min. or until evenly browned. Makes 6 servings, 2 spears each.

Serving Suggestion

Serve with Philadelphia Dips Ranch or Jalapeno.

How to Thin Batter

Batter should be consistency of pancake batter. If too thick, gradually stir in additional club soda until batter is thinned to desired consistency.
