Substitute a bottle of champagne or sparkling wine for the ginger ale.
Mix all ingredients except ginger ale, doubling or tripling all ingredients. Fill small ring mold with prepared drink. Add mint leaves and lemon slices to filled mold; freeze until firm. Meanwhile, refrigerate remaining drink. When ready to serve, pour drink into punch bowl. Stir in ginger ale. Add unmolded ice ring.
