  • Cook potatoes in large saucepan of boiling water on medium-high heat 15 to 20 min. or until tender.
  • Meanwhile, heat 2 Tbsp. dressing in large nonstick skillet on medium heat. Add onions; cook 10 min. or until softened, stirring frequently. Stir in apples, beer and sugar; simmer on medium-low heat 4 to 5 min. or until beer is cooked off. Transfer to plate; cover to keep warm.
  • Heat 1 Tbsp. oil in same skillet on medium-high heat. Add 3 chops; cook 3 min. on each side or until done (160ºF); brush with 1 Tbsp. of the remaining dressing. Transfer to separate plate; cover to keep warm. Repeat with remaining oil, chops and dressing.
  • Drain potatoes; return to saucepan. Add cream cheese product, milk and chives; mash until potatoes are smooth. Serve with chops and apple mixture.


For more robust flavour, prepare using a dark stout beer. Or prepare using non-alcoholic beer.


Substitute firm pears for the apples.
