I have made this recipe several times. Love it. Fast. Simple. And it gets tons of compliments- looks so good on the plate! If you are not a wine fan, I have substituted unsweetened apple juice, for those parties where alcohol was not invited and it still was a crowd pleaser!

I'd like to try this recipe but don't want to buy a whole bottle of wine to do so. Is it okay to leave the port out of the recipe or can I substitute it for something else? Has anyone else tried leaving out the wine? Thanks for your replies

I made this yesterday for a party and it was a real hit!
