  • Heat oven to 350ºF.
  • Prepare cake batter and bake as directed on package for 13x9-inch pan. Immediately poke deep holes in cake at 1-inch intervals, using handle of wooden spoon.
  • Beat pudding mixes and milk in large bowl with whisk 2 min.; pour over warm cake.
  • Refrigerate 2 hours. Meanwhile, shave chocolate into curls. (See tip.) Refrigerate until ready to use.
  • Spread Cool Whip over cake just before serving. Slice bananas; place over cake. Garnish with chocolate curls.

Serving Tip

The frosted cake can be refrigerated up to 24 hours. Top with bananas and chocolate curls just before serving.

Variation

Prepare recipe using Jell-O Chocolate or Butterscotch Instant Pudding, and substituting 2 cups sliced strawberries for the bananas.

How to Make the Chocolate Curls

Warm the chocolate by microwaving the chocolate in microwaveable bowl on HIGH for a few seconds or just until warmed. Pull a vegetable peeler slowly over the flat bottom of the chocolate piece, allowing a thin layer of chocolate to curl as it is peeled off the bottom to make long, delicate curls. Repeat to make additional curls.
