  • Heat greased barbecue to medium-high heat.
  • Mix garlic and chili powder until blended; rub evenly onto both sides of steak.
  • Grill steak and vegetables 12 to 14 min. or until steak is medium doneness (160ºF) and vegetables are tender, turning steak after 7 min. and turning vegetables occasionally, and brushing all with barbecue sauce for the last 5 min.
  • Remove steak and vegetables from barbecue. Let steak stand 5 min. before slicing to serve with the vegetables.

Substitute

Prepare using any other grilling steak of your choice, such as strip loin, t-bone, rib-eye, porterhouse or tenderloin.

    ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS !!! Served exactly as illustrated c/w with roasted baby potatoes and corn on the cob. WOW, WOW, WOW. The peppers and onions were so sweet and flavorful (Grilled on upper rack while steak cooked below). The only additional thing I did to this great recipe was to add just a little EVOO (Extra Virgin Olive Oil) to the rub before applying it and steak and brushing the peppers and onions with a little EVOO as well. I sprinkle coarse salt and fresh ground mixed peppercorns on everything just after removing everything from the BBQ. I will be making this as my GOTO steak recipe from now on. (WILL APPLY THE RUB THE NIGHT BEFORE TO LET THE FLAVORS INTENSIFY EVEN MORE) Thank you sooooooo much for this fabulous addition to my repertoire of recipes...... (*.*) .......
