  • BROWN ground beef and onion in frying pan while pasta is cooking. Drain any liquid from pan.
  • STIR 2/3 cup (150 mL) pasta sauce into ground beef.
  • DRAIN macaroni and prepare macaroni dinner as directed, increasing milk to 1/3 cup (75 mL).
  • PLACE half the macaroni in a lightly greased 9 inch (2 L) square baking dish.
  • LAYER meat mixture gently over macaroni & cheese.
  • SPOON remaining macaroni & cheese over meat. Drizzle remaining sauce over macaroni.
  • BAKE at 350° F (180°C) for 10 minutes.

    The teenagers just love this recipe. I don't layer it. I put the KD in the bottom, and I add some hamburger and veggies to the sauce and put that on top. Then I add grated cheese and pop it in the microwave for 5 mins.
