Make It

  • Cook pasta as directed on package, omitting salt. Meanwhile, cook sausage in large skillet on medium heat 10 min. Add peppers; cook and stir 7 min. or until sausage is done and peppers are crisp-tender. Stir in tomatoes; cook 2 min. or until heated through.

  • Drain pasta. Add to sausage mixture with shredded cheese; mix well.

  • Top with Parmesan.

I have made this recipe many times. My family loves it. I use Hot Italian Sausage and I squeeze it out of the casing into little sausage meatballs. Delicious!

I have made this several times now and my family just loves it. It's easy to make with simple ingredients that I always seem to have on hand. I've made the recipe as is with the exception of letting it simmer longer once the tomatoes were added. I found that this helped reduce the liquid and infuse the flavors even more. A terrific weeknight meal!

Delicious, and makes enough to feed a small army. BUT because of all the extra liquid floating around from the tomatoes and the peppers, adding cheese to this just got weird. Skip the cheese blend and just top with Parmesan.

Wonderful easy and delicious meal. If the sauce is too dry, then save the starchy water from the pasta. Have already send recipe to family and friends. We love it.

I made the dish, I found it quite dry so I added about 1 cup of Pasta sauce with mushrooms and it was delicious.I will definitely make it again. FZ

I have made this recipe many times and i love it. i have always added onion and mushrooms, and of course garlic, also removed the casings from sausage.

I made this recipe for supper with only a few minor changes, mainly to the texture of items cooked. I also used my wife's tomatoes that she canned last year and added some Italian seasoning from our Italian herb grinder. This recipe is awsome.

The basis is there but you need to add so much more ....garlic, diced onion, large can diced tomatoes, plus some tomato paste, basil, thyme, oregano pinch of sugar etc. It's just too bland as is.

I really didn't like it. My son wouldn't eat it b/c of the toms. It didn't have much flavor.

I only had three (hot, Italian) sausages, along with a chicken breast - both leftover from previous meals - so when I chopped up the sausages, I also chopped up the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces and followed the recipe. I used brown rice pasta - while it was boiling, I took a couple of spoonfuls of the liquid and added it to the cooking meat and peppers mixture (yellow,orange and red, instead of one green). I also used "spicy" tomatoes, and based on other reviewers, added extra oregano and granulated garlic. Lastly, I only had leftover "light" feta cheese, so I used that, along with sprinkling of parmesan - no complaints; no dryness and not at all bland - just yummy!

Wasn't my favourite. I found it dry... add more tomatoes. I used Spicy Hot Italian sausage and added garlic... and it still wasn't very flavourful.

This was delicious! Absolutely loved it. I did add some garlic powder and kernel corn to the mixture. I used half a can of tomatoes and half salsa for some extra zip. I omitted the cheddar and used just parmesan and I couldn't have enough! I will make this over and over again.

very good... needs a bit more flavour. I added garlic and italian seasoning to my TWO cans of diced tomatos. And I cut up my sausage very small so it would cook thru better. Good with rotini or rigatoni.

I found this a bit bland, although it was very quick and easy. Leaving the sausage in the casing made it seem like little meatballs, which was nice. I used Italian turkey sausage -- next time I will add some extra spices like some of the other cooks have suggested.

My family really liked this recipe. I used stewed tomatoes and added Italiano spice and it turned out excellent.

very yummy! making with different varieties of sausage makes for great tasts! I also add chopped onion and use spicy pepper variety of diced tomato for plenty of zip! Hubby loves this

Very quick and easy to make when you have left over sausage to use. This is a great all in one meal with lots of flavor. I made a tossed garden salad with balsamic vinagrette dressing and garlic toast, and now it is a favorite.

I found the overall taste very bland.I will use salsa or pasta sauce in place of the tomatoes. I also sqeezed the sausage out of the casings and added italian seasoning.
