  • Cook pasta as directed on package, omitting salt.
  • Meanwhile, cook and stir bacon in large deep nonstick skillet on medium heat until crisp. Use slotted spoon to remove bacon from skillet; drain on paper towels. Discard drippings from skillet. Add onions to skillet; cook 5 min. or until softened, stirring frequently and adding garlic for the last minute.
  • Drain pasta, reserving 1/3 cup cooking water. Add cream cheese product, milk and 1-1/2 cups shredded cheese to onions in skillet; cook and stir on medium-low heat 2 min. or until cream cheese is completely melted and sauce is heated through. Gradually stir in enough of the reserved cooking water until sauce is of desired consistency. Add pasta and bacon; mix lightly.
  • Heat broiler. Spoon pasta mixture into 13x9-inch baking dish sprayed with cooking spray; top with remaining shredded cheese. Broil, 6 inches from heat, 2 min. or until golden brown.

Substitute

Prepare using penne, rotini, rigatoni or gemelli pasta.

Variation

Omit 1 clove garlic, and prepare using Philadelphia Herb & Garlic Cream Cheese Product or Philadelphia Roasted Garlic Cream Cheese Product.

Special Extra

Garnish with 1 Tbsp. chopped green onions or fresh parsley before serving.

    Excellent recipe. I used regular macaroni and it was awesome. I also doubled the bacon since we are bacon lovers at home. The next time I might also increase the Cooking Cream and cheese to double and also use Mozzarella for variations.
