  • Cook and stir first 3 ingredients in large saucepan on high heat 10 min. or until caramels are completely melted and sauce is well blended.
  • Add next 3 ingredients; stir. Cover; simmer on medium-low heat 20 min. or until sevian is tender. Remove from heat.
  • Stir in cardamom. Serve warm.


For a change of pace, prepare as directed, then cool and refrigerate 2 hours or until chilled.


Substitute vermicelli for the sevian; break into 1-inch pieces before cooking as directed.
