Need to remove the pits from fresh apricots, nectarines, peaches or plums? Cut the fruit in half from top to bottom. Grasp both halves and twist the fruit in opposite directions while pulling apart to expose the pit. The pit should pop out easily. If not, use a small knife to cut the pit away from the flesh.
