this recipe is a big hit at home, full a flavors and really simple. I let the meat sit a bit with some onion, worchester sauce and pepper and salt.

11/23/2013

Did not like it at all. My husband said it was bland. Would not make it again

04/18/2013

Loved it.was fantastic will do this recipe again.

03/19/2013

I added chopped carrots. i also whisked the broth, cream cheese & a tin of cream of mushroom soup, a tsp of hungarian paprika & a rubbed tblsp of oregano in a lrg bowl then stirred it in with the meat before cooking. But i'll add an extra tub of cream cheese & more broth next time for extra gravy.

All i can say about this recipe is "YUK"

12/05/2012

I too found this very bland. Did anyone else have the same problem. How did you fix it?

11/03/2012

I don't understand the high reviews for this one. Love this site, and use lots of Kraft recipes - but this one was very bland. No flavour even with the addition of seasonings.

11/01/2012

I added extra spices because most of the reviews said it was bland. It was still bland and boring I wont be making this again.

10/25/2012

I assumed that this would be bland, as I find most beef stroganoff recipies to be, so I add an ample amount of garlic powder, a bit of thyme and a little dried dill. I also added some frozen baby peas because I feel very guilty eating a dish with veggies in it, lol. IT WAS AWESOME! I will make this again!

10/18/2012

I agree that it was very bland - probably why some children like it. I will try again with the suggestion to use Worchester sauce, garlic and thicken it abit. If that doesn't work then I'll toss the recipe

10/17/2012

Pretty good, but I agree with other members... it needed more flavour.

10/17/2012

Needsa more flavour, it even had a flour taste :(

02/27/2012

I used regular philly cream cheese and it was delish! So simple and easy. The family loved it and I'll be making it again. :)

09/19/2012

I'm surprised this recipe has such a high rating. I made it thinking we would be enjoying a delightful dinner. Instead I found it was rather bland. I plan to keep searching for a better recipe.

06/24/2012

very bland, is lacking flavour, would not make again.

03/06/2012

My sister gave me this recipe as she makes it all the time so I made it and it was a great hit. It is one of the best beef stroganoff that I have tried. I will definitely be making this again.

03/02/2012

I made this exactly as the recipe says, however it was good, but i found it a little bland.. if i make it again i will definitely be adding some spices to it.

Made this on the weekend for myself and my husband. Added Worcestershire sauce, garlic and pepper to add a little extra flavour. We loved it. Meat just came apart. I Added the noodles directly into the crock pot after they were cooked of course, and let it go for an extra 5 minutes to heat them through. Would definately make this again.

11/11/2011

I was scared that my daughter would not like this, but decided to give it a try. My daughter is very difficult to feed, she hates everything. I gave her a small plate of this beef stroganoff and before I came with my plate she was back in the kitchen for a second serving. It was so easy to make and my whole family loved it.

11/09/2011

Worked out well even though I didn't have the Garlic and Herb Cream cheese on hand. Kid enjoyed it as well!

10/30/2011

i made this tonight for company and it was a real hit. they didn't like mushrooms, so I left those out and added a little more meat, but everything else as shown and it turned out just great. I will certainly make it again!

10/22/2011

10/19/2011

Really easy, and incredibly yummy. I dredged the beef in seasoned flour (flour, freshly ground black pepper, no-salt garlic & herb seasoning, and a dash of meat tenderizer) and browned it, then deglazed the pan with a generous amount of Sauterne (cooking wine) and used that liquid as a partial substitute for some of the beef broth. I also substituted sour cream for the Philly cream cheese, and used broad egg-free noodles instead of fettucine (both for personal preference). This recipe is definitely a keeper!

10/17/2011

easy & tasty

10/07/2011

Super easy and tasty. I love the fact you don't have to brown anything before adding it into the crockpot. I might double the amount of flour next time to make the sauce thicker. I also added some salt & pepper. My husband really enjoyed it.

10/05/2011

Followed suggestions and browned beef, onions, mushrooms and added fresh garlic. Turned out great. Will make this one again!

10/02/2011

My husband really enjoyed this. Simple to make and smelled wonderful while it was cooking.

10/01/2011

Very good recipe, however I didn't use the Herb & Garlic cream cheese, I chose to use regular cream cheese and put my own spices in it. It was very tasty and will make it again for sure.

10/01/2011

09/29/2011

I found this really bland and just...well, gross. The faux garlic taste is of the cream cheese overwhelms any other flavour and it just tastes terrible. Threw the leftovers in the garbage - total flop. What a waste

09/09/2011

Made this for my family, and we all loved it!! wasn't sure about the cream cheese in it tho! but was surprised it tasted awesome will be making this again for sure!!

08/09/2011

So good! I browned the meat in a frying pan like another reviewer had said and it turned out great:)

07/31/2011

Absolutely delicious. I coated the meat in flour and fried it first in a frying pan before putting in the crockpot. Everything thickened up nicely. Not too rich at all.

05/26/2011

03/15/2011

Super simple and very delicious. I don't like the Philly Garlic and Herbs cream cheese so I used regular and a little extra water to make the sauce thinner to cover the noodles. Very delicious!

09/22/2010

Very tasty!! I doubled the recipe to have enough for leftovers for work lunch (and omitted the mushrooms just because I think they are gross!) and my husband and 2 year old son both loved it!!! The meat was super tender, and the flavour was just right! Will absolutely be making this one again!

05/25/2010

My husband loved this although i didn't care for it a whole lot.May make it again for him but it won't be something i make often.

01/24/2010

This is a good recipe,I dredged the beef in seanoned flour then browned in skillet, also browned the onions & mushrooms in skillet put into slow-cooker, deglazed my skillet with the broth poured into slow-cooker, cooked for 6hours. Best I ever made the meat was soo tender & moist.

01/19/2010

01/12/2010

Turned out pretty good, but was a little bland. I added some salt and sour cream at the end and that improved it a lot.

10/10/2009

I love this recipe it was easy! The only thing that I changed was the philly to light Philly and that made it lower in fat. And still tasted the same.

06/19/2009

I converted it to a stovetop/oven recipe; since I don't have a slow cooker available to me here. I doubled the amount of beef broth, substituting minced garlic for the onion. I brought the meat, broth & garlic to a boil then place in the oven on low for 2 hours. After removing the meat from the oven, stirring in cheese and flour mixture, bring the mixture to a boil, then remove from heat, cover and let thicken while boiling your pasta.

05/26/2009

This recipe was pretty good, and I'd make it again. I made a few modifications to suit my tastes, such as leaving out the onions, which I hate, and adding some garlic. I know there's already garlic in the cream cheese, but I love garlic, and it didn't turn out too garlicky. I also used egg noddles instead of fettuccine noddles, because I like to bring left-overs to work for lunch, and I found egg noddles easier to eat. The only thing I didn't really like about this recipe was that after 6 hours of cooking on low, the meat was a little bit tough. If I made this again, I don't think I'd good it that long, even on low. Other than that, it's pretty good.

02/23/2009

Made with rice instead of noodles. Will definately make again!!!!

01/26/2009

Easy to make a double recipe for company, but definatley needed pepper.

01/10/2009

Nice and easy. Needed some pepper but other than that it was tastey

12/18/2008

The whole family loves it. I fry up the onions and mushrooms before putting them.

11/16/2008

This is so easy and so very yummie. I devide recipe in half just for the 2 of us.

11/03/2008

for a change of flavour - use chicken and chicken broth - still very tasty

10/17/2006

very good. bit salty

05/14/2008

Can't believe that I made something so tasty. Will make again and again.

03/12/2008

07/20/2007

07/19/2007

very good, the taste is a little bit strong, I had to add milk to the cream to make it softer, the kids love it

05/14/2007

03/18/2007

This is my family's number 1 favorite. My husband brags about it and takes in in his lunch, with extra helpings to share. Calls it an old Family recipe. HEHEHE

03/14/2007

It was delicious. I substituted regular light cream cheese and it still worked great.

03/01/2007

This dish had great taste and was very easy to prepare. This definitely goes under one of our favourites. I love my crock pot, I actually have 3 of them, all in different sizes. They are great for full time working moms.

02/13/2007

01/09/2007

Excellent recipe. Thank you for sending it. I had company coming for dinner and was desperate for something interesting. They loved it, and it was easy to make.

01/04/2007

01/02/2007

good, must try with venison

12/28/2006

Simple and delicious! I used moose meat and I definitely look forward to making it again.

12/21/2006

This was dead easy to make and absolutely fabulous. Even the kids - aged 8, 5 & 1 ALL ate it and loved it! Well done!

12/19/2006

Very good and simple. Added some seasoning salt and garlic powder to beef.

12/19/2006

This recipe is also good with venison or moose meat for those who's husband bring home wild game.

12/14/2006

This was a fantastic and easy meal. I will definately be using this one again!!

12/14/2006

I found that there was very little flavour in the sauce and I found the beef to be dry. I would not make this recipe again. (It was easy to make though.)

12/12/2006

This is so easy and my family loves it. If there are any left overs, they don't last because everyone wants them.

12/12/2006

Slow cooker is bestby far than baking it. Use 1 very large onion sliced into rings. Also mushrooms better sliced to add texture. MARINATE beef over night with KRAFT hotdog mustard before slicing partially frozen into long 1/4" strips. Add low fat sour cream before serving.Omit salad dressing.

11/25/2006

VERY VERY GOOD! I will definatley be making this again but will probably double up the recipie since the left overs are just as good the next day as fresh out of the slow cooker.

10/12/2006

It was good but the meat turned out a bit dry.

09/13/2006

Soooo good! The house smells like you've been cooking all day! I use 2X the beef broth and mushrooms since I leave the slow cooker for 8 -10 hours.

08/28/2006

I fried the mushrooms, beef and onions a little. I also used a very little cornstarch to thicken

08/07/2006

I love this its really easy to make but I had to use a little cornstarch to thicken it.I make it alot

07/29/2006

this was a perfect recipe! I reccommend fry up the meat/onions/mushrooms a bit first to get that flavour going, than transfer it to the slowcooker!

04/19/2006

05/16/2006

05/02/2006

this recipe was soooo good that I actually ended up eating straight out of the crock pot! One addition.. I thought it needed a little salt.

04/19/2006

Hubby and I rate this a five star, very good. My sister was visiting at the time and took the recipe home with her to make. I added a little more beef broth and the herb and garlic cream cheese. Will definitely make this again! Thanks, Kraft.

03/29/2006

Great recipe, made it for family and potlucks but removed some of the juice before adding cheese and added later if required.

03/18/2006

this was a great recipe.. my 18 mo old loved it! Super easy to prepare and not many ingredients required. I did add flour to the meat due to other comments about it being too runny and it worked out great.

03/16/2006

I loved the flavour however, it was not thick enough. I would probably roll the beef in flour first. Also, I added some parmesan cheese. Loved it...will make again. Janice

03/08/2006

Our family enjoyed this meal. Tasty and oh so easy to make. Linda

03/07/2006

Very tasty but would have liked a thicker sauce

03/05/2006

Amazing flavour and very easy, but a little too runny. Need to toss the meat in flour prior to adding to slow cooker.

03/05/2006

Really easy to make and my husband and i both enjoyed it. Seemed a bit runny when it was time to add it to the fettuccine, so i thickened it up then mixed it together. Will definetly make it again.

03/03/2006

easy and tastes great! I used lite herb and garlic cream cheese to cut back on the fat.

02/24/2006

02/16/2006

This is a great "quick" recipe, my husband just loved this. It's a little different than the traditional Beef Stroganoff, but a real time saver.

02/15/2006

So easy to make and the whole family loved it!!

02/08/2006

easy and awesome

01/17/2006

01/14/2006

01/13/2006

awesome but needs to be thickened

01/04/2006

It was very tasty, and I would probably make it again. But it did have to much liquid at the end.

11/27/2005

Outstanding! I used frozen meatballs as I didn't have any stewing beef and added flour at the same time I added the cream cheese. This is a wonderful and easy recipe!

11/24/2005

Excellent dish. Loved the consistency, but would rather substitute the noodles with rice noodles. Also, throw a bit of red wine in there, just to make it a bit more crisp.

11/20/2005

Very good flavor but the sauce was a little too runny needed to be thickened

11/14/2005

made this last night and it was remarkable. I will definetly make this again. Loved it. arleo

11/10/2005

Excellent flavor and so easy to get ready before heading out the door for work. I will definitely do this one again.

11/10/2005

Great recipe, very easy to make!

10/11/2005

Authentic stroganoff flavour made simple. I used more broth since I cooked on low over stove top rather than slow cooker.

07/07/2005

This was outstanding; great flavour. But I recommend a little less liquid and if cooking on slow, decrease time from 8 hours to 6-1/2 or 7. After 8 hours the stewing beef shredded and fell apart. It did not affect taste but it did not look as nice.

04/18/2005

Delicious . . . even my husband loved it and he hates stroganoff!! Had to use Beef Dip because I was out of bouillon . . . tasted wonderful!

02/22/2005

I used powdered bouillon instead of broth and used 2 tsp of bouillon in 1/4 cup of water, perfect.

12/15/2004

Nice slow cooker recipe, but a little too wet. We had to thicken the sauce.

11/08/2004

Very easy and tasty. Needed to be thicken. Was excellant left over for lunch.

07/08/2004

A very simple and taste meal that cook in the crockpot.

06/28/2004

This was excellent! My entire family loved it. I added a little bit of pesto to the recipe, just because I thought it would taste good with it. We will make this again!!
