Make It

  • Place meat in slow cooker; top with mushrooms, onions and 1 Tbsp. thyme.

  • Add broth and water; stir. Cover with lid. Cook on LOW 6 to 8 hours (or on HIGH 3 to 4 hours). About 15 min. before serving stroganoff, cook noodles as directed on package, omitting salt.

  • Drain noodles; place in large bowl. Add Cooking Creme and remaining thyme to slow cooker; stir until blended. Combine meat mixture and noodles.

Kraft Kitchen Tips


    Prepare using white button mushrooms, or a mix of button and cremini mushrooms. Or for more flavour, add shiitake or mini portobello mushrooms. Try recipe with Philadelphia Herb & Garlic Light Cream Cheese Product instead of the Cooking Creme.


    For added colour and flavour, sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley just before serving.


    We've taken a classic recipe and made it over by reducing the amount of pasta, and by preparing it with whole wheat egg noodles and Philadelphia Light Herb and Garlic Cooking Creme. With these changes you will save 120 calories and 5g of total fat, including 3g of saturated fat, per serving.
