I love this, although I don't stick to the recipe. Whatever I have, is what goes in the pot and its always amazing. Although we don't really like the cooking creams so we use light cream spread instead.

Made this many times with cream cheese spread. Usually use boneless chicken breasts. A winner every time! My husband always wanted me to add potatoes (in addition to the hot homemade biscuits!) Economical and tasty.

I made the chicken stew just as the recipe said, and it was delicious. will make it again

Whoever said this was bland was VERY off. I used the herb and garlic cooking cream and it was so rich I could barely eat a bowl of it. Too filling/rich/too much flavor.

Preferred the version with herb & garlic cream cheese.

Had a entire crock pot full of very bland stew- kids only ate a small amount as flavourless.

Found it too bland

Followed the recipe exactly and it was delicious!!

Made this recipe with left over chicken. Didn't have broth so used low fat mushroom soup. It was fabulous. I have raved at work about and now everyone wants the recipe. Definitely will be making it again.

This stew is amazing. Made it for the first time two years ago, and haven't stopped!

I'm trying this recipe for the first time right now and I have to say its making my house is smell wonderful! I can't wait to taste it :)

Delicious!! This has restaurant quality flavor and is so easy to make! I added baby new potatoes at the start and substituted fresh snow peas for the frozen peas and added them 5 mins before serving to maintain a little crunch. Awesome!

this was delicious and really easy to prepare....I added broccoli, cauliflower and diced potatoes instead of mushrooms and peas..a make again recipe

My children love this recipe even my picky daughter who is etreamly fussy with what she eats.

I really like a thick broth in stews and chowders and this did not disappoint. I replaced the flour with less corn starch as my husband has a gluten sensitivity. I piled in the veggies...pretty much everything I had in the fridge (carrots broccoli, cauliflower, parsnips, onion). I cut them up the night before, poured the broth and some water over it with some salt, pepper & garlic powder and let it sit overnight in the fridge. Added a bit more water and seasoning in the AM with the cubed chicken. The cream cheese is what really made this dish. Delish! Will make it again 100%.

OUTSTANDING! What was more amazing about this dish was that everyone in my family of five loved it! Very difficult task to do. Love this one....I double everything up to make extra!

This was great, good flavor and quite versatile with different veggies too!

Absolutely terrible...what a disappointment & a waste of ingredients. I made as directed but used chicken breasts as that's what was on hand. I added in S&P and some garlic powder...didn't help at all. The stew had a funky texture and taste, and for some reason my baby carrots weren't fully cooked after 8 hours on low. Sad to say it went down the trash chute pretty fast.

It was good but I added salt, pepper and garlic salt for a bit extra flavor.

One of my favorite comfort foods, especially with a side of bisquick bisquits

We really enjoyed this one. I used the lite version of the cream cheese and you would never know. I think next time I may add a pie crust to the top and bake in individual bowls or mugs.

This was really nice! I loved the rich yet mellow flavor the cream cheese brought to the stew. My only additions were S & P, garlic salt and some dried thyme.

This is fabulous recipe! Easy to make and so delicious. I changed it up slightly, by using regular cream cheese and mixed it with Epicure herb & garlic mix, using homemade chicken broth, boneless chicken breasts instead of thighs and regular carrots. Served over mashed potatoes. All 4 of my boys gave it a thumbs up!

loved it!! So easy to make. I use baby carrots so just open the bag and throw them in.

The whole family loved it, even a finiky child. Loved it so much they ask for it often. I wouldn't change a thing. Faaantastic recipe.

Lacked in flavour/taste. Was excited to try this recipe seeing that it was to be cooked in a slow-cooker, but was quite disappointed despite following the recipe to a "T"!! Kind of makes you wonder if the Kraft kitchen try out their recipes before posting them on their website and printing them in their magazine...

I would just add a spice and use less mushrooms but I loved how easy it was and didn't require a lot of time to prepare I would love to see more recipes like this for the slow cooker

unfortunately this did not turn out as I had hoped. I prepared it in the morning, went to work and was stunned when I got home. It was dry and didn't look edible. It's too bad cause it looked good

I used corn instead of peas and it was fabulous! I would also recommend adding potatoes too - it's very much like a chowder.

This stew was very good and so easy! It will be great to make during the busy holiday season. I will definitely make it again when my son comes home for the holidays from university.

Well it got us through the evening supper with little complaints. The taste was okay but nothing to "write home about" Will I make it again? Probably not.

This recipe was very easy and tasted great. I've never had chicken stew before and this recipe looked easy enough to try... and it was well worth it! It will become one of my go-to recipes for a cold winter night. I would recommend spraying the crock pot with non-stick cooking spray and adding salt and pepper to season the flour before tossing with the chicken. Adding some fresh chopped dill at the end would also be a nice addition.

This recipe was awesome - my family loved it except my "picky" son. Very yummy - next time I would cut the carrots smaller as I used regular carrots. A definite must try recipe!

Really tasty. I substituted about 800 grams of boneless skinless chicken breast (cut into small pieces) since the majority of the family aren't dark meat fans. I cut the baby carrots in half to ensure they'd cook all the way through. I substituted PC Blue Menu No Salt Added chicken broth, and I also substituted the light version of the Kraft Herb & Garlic cream cheese. I will definitely make this again.

Made this last night for supper, it was great will certainly make this again, it was nice and easy. I did however cut the carrots in half. Instead of chicken broth I had some gravy left from a chicken we had roasted, so I used it and added a little extra water.

excellent and super simple! this will become a staple for our family of four. we all loved it. I used plain cream cheese and added 2tsp. of an italian seasoning blend, instead of the herb and garlic cream cheese.

This dish was very nice and creamy. I added a cup of mixed veggies (not just peas) and I sliced the baby carrots. I also added minced garlic and a handful of other seasonings including cayenne pepper/hot sauce for some heat. I will definitely be making this again, but will probably cut the chicken pieces a bit smaller as some tended to be a bit dry. ~ delicious :)
