This low-maintenance dish is a great recipe to serve at your next potluck or gathering. All ingredients are tossed together in a slow cooker and voila, out comes tender juicy pork in a savoury/sweet sauce. Spoon into crunchy taco shells, top with tangy coleslaw and you're set!

  • Heat oil in medium skillet on medium heat. Add onions; cook 7 to 8 min. or until softened, stirring frequently. Stir in cumin; cook and stir 1 min. Add chili sauce, barbecue sauce and orange juice; mix well.
  • Place meat in slow cooker; top with onion mixture. Cover with lid; cook on LOW 8 to 10 hours (or on HIGH 4 to 6 hours).
  • Remove meat from slow cooker; cut into small pieces or shred with fork. Discard all but 1 cup sauce from slow cooker. Return meat to slow cooker. Add reserved sauce; mix lightly. Replace lid.
  • Heat taco shells as directed on package. Meanwhile, toss coleslaw blend with dressing.
  • Spoon meat mixture into taco shells just before serving; top with coleslaw.

Special Extra

Serve tacos with chopped fresh cilantro and lime wedges.

Make Ahead

For added convenience, the meat can be cooked ahead of time. Chop the cooked meat, then toss it with the reserved cooking sauce as directed. Cool, then refrigerate up to 24 hours. About 1 hour before serving time, spoon meat mixture into slow cooker. Cook, covered, on LOW 1 hour or until heated through. Continue as directed.

Chili sauce is a seasoned ketchup-based sauce. Look for it in the condiments section of your supermarket. For best results, do not substitute spicy Asian chili sauce instead of the (plain) chili sauce in this recipe.
