  • Grate enough zest, then squeeze enough juice from 1 orange to measure 1 Tbsp. plus 1-1/2 tsp. zest and 1/4 cup juice. Mix zest and juice with barbecue sauce, sugar, vinegar, onions, garlic and pepper until blended. Pour over chops in shallow dish; turn to evenly coat chops. Refrigerate 4 hours to marinate.
  • Heat greased barbecue to medium heat. Remove chops from marinade; pour marinade into saucepan. Bring to boil on medium-high heat, stirring occasionally; simmer on medium-low heat 5 min., stirring occasionally. Remove from heat.
  • Grill chops 7 min.; turn. Brush with about half the barbecue sauce mixture.
  • Slice remaining orange. Add to barbecue. Grill 7 min. or until chops are done (160ºF) and oranges are heated through, turning and brushing occasionally with remaining barbecue sauce mixture.
  • Serve chops with orange slices.


Substitute red wine vinegar for the cider vinegar.

Serving Suggestion

Serve with steamed fresh green beans and hot cooked rice.
