The flank steak can be marinated in the refrigerator up to 24 hours before grilling as directed. Or, you can instead pour the barbecue sauce mixture over the steak in a freezer-weight resealable plastic bag and freeze up to 2 months. Thaw overnight in refrigerator before grilling as directed. The steak will marinate as it thaws.
Serve with a tossed green salad.
