I make this quite often and my family loves it! I use ricotta instead of the cottage cheese.
I used regular (1%) cottage cheese and it turned out fine. This is a really, really great recipe. I added a bit of parmesan cheese as I didn't buy the bag of Kraft Parmesan cheese, but that was the only change. It's easy and really tasty and I would definitely serve it to company. I baked it a bit longer than 45 mins and then broiled it a bit so it was toasty and the cheese was browned on top. Thanks for a great recipe, it's a keeper!
