Prepare only one ornament at a time on each baking sheet. Since the candies melt at different rates, baking more than one at a time could cause some ornaments to over-bake.

I found that Campino candies worked better and looked nicer but lifesavers were ok too. Make sure you don't leave the kitchen when cooking these. Watch them closely to avoid a big blob (you left it too long). I'm not sure who had more fun, mom or the kids!
