  • Heat barbecue to medium-high heat.
  • Grill steak 5 to 6 min. on each side or until medium-rare (145ºF) or desired doneness, adding mushrooms to the barbecue for the last 6 min. and turning after 3 min. Remove steak and mushrooms from barbecue. Cover steak; let stand 5 min. Meanwhile, mix mayonnaise and peppers.
  • Slice mushrooms and steak.
  • Spread 4 bread slices with mayonnaise mixture; top with mushrooms, onions, meat, cheese and arugula. Cover with remaining bread slices.


For a more traditional steakhouse flavor, substitute 1/4 cup of your favourite steak sauce for the mayonnaise mixture.
