I have made this dip about a dozen times and it never comes home with me--it's either all gone or the host asks to keep the rest of it! Nice compliment, I think! I've added more garlic when I know it will be eaten right away. If not, the garlic overpowers the dip.
I had high hopes for this recipe after the great reviews but I was a little let down. I found the garlic overpowered the other other flavours - and I love garlic. The aftertaste seemed to cancel out the sun-dried tomato. I probably won't make it again but if I do, I'll omit the garlic or only use maybe half a clove.
Everyone loves this recipe every time I make it. It's a staple in my entertaining menu!
