  • Heat barbecue to medium. Grill steaks 7 to 8 min. on each side or to medium doneness (160ºF).
  • Meanwhile, cook bacon in large nonstick skillet on medium heat 5 min. or until crisp, stirring occasionally. Drain bacon on paper towels. Discard drippings from skillet. Add mushrooms to skillet; cook 5 min., stirring occasionally. Stir in bacon, barbecue sauce, sherry and sugar. Bring to boil; simmer on medium-low heat 5 min., stirring occasionally.
  • Serve steaks topped with mushroom sauce.

Serving Suggestion

Serve with a whole wheat roll and hot steamed vegetable, such as asparagus.


Substitute porterhouse steaks for the T-bone steaks.

    I picked the mushrooms out of mine, but my boyfriend spent the night trying to figure out what he'd done right to get that for supper. I sided it with double baked potatoes.
