  • Heat oven to 400ºF.
  • Cut pastry into 9 (3-1/2-inch) squares. Use tip of sharp knife to make shallow cuts about 1/2 inch from all sides of each pastry square, being careful to not cut all the way through pastry. Place pastry squares on parchment-covered baking sheet; prick centres in several places with tines of fork.
  • Spread tapenade onto centres of pastry squares; top with remaining ingredients.
  • Bake 15 to 18 min. or until golden brown.


Prepare as directed, substituting Classico Basil Pesto di Genova for the tapenade, and fresh basil for the thyme.

Make Ahead

These savoury appetizers can be prepared ahead of time. Cool, then refrigerate in single layer in airtight container up to 8 hours. When ready to serve, bake in 300ºF oven 10 min. or until heated through.
