These teriyaki steak kabobs get their Asian-inspired flavour by soaking up a marinade made with barbecue sauce, soy sauce, garlic and ginger.

  • Mix first 5 ingredients until blended. Pour 1/4 cup barbecue sauce mixture over meat in shallow dish; stir to evenly coat meat.
  • Refrigerate 1 hour to marinate, stirring occasionally. Meanwhile, refrigerate remaining barbecue sauce mixture until ready to use.
  • Heat barbecue to medium-high heat. Drain meat; discard marinade. Thread meat onto 8 skewers alternately with pineapple and peppers.
  • Grill 4 to 6 min. or until meat is done, turning and brushing occasionally with remaining barbecue sauce mixture.

Note

These delicious skewers can be marinated up to 6 hours before grilling as directed.

Variation

Prepare using fresh pineapple chunks and/or substituting green peppers for the red peppers.
