  • Heat oven to 350ºF.
  • Microwave butter in medium microwaveable bowl on HIGH 1 min. or until melted. Add brown sugar; mix well. Spread onto bottom of 13x9-inch pan sprayed with cooking spray.
  • Cut bananas lengthwise in half; place, cut sides up, in single layer over batter.
  • Beat next 4 ingredients in large bowl with mixer until blended. Add dry pudding mix; beat just until blended. Pour over bananas; smooth top.
  • Bake 35 min. or until toothpick inserted in centre comes out clean. Cool 10 min. Run knife around edges of pan to loosen cake. Invert cake onto platter; gently remove pan. Cool cake slightly. Sift icing sugar over cake. Serve warm.


Add 1/2 cup coarsely chopped toasted walnuts to cake batter before pouring into prepared pan and baking as directed.

Special Extra

Serve topped with thawed Cool Whip Whipped Topping.
