  • Heat oven to 375┬░F.
  • Microwave 1 cup chocolate in microwaveable bowl on HIGH 2 min. or until chocolate is almost melted; stir until completely melted. Set aside. Combine flour, baking soda and salt.
  • Beat butter and sugar in large bowl with mixer until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla; mix well. Blend in melted chocolate. Gradually add flour mixture, beating well after each addition. Stir in remaining chopped chocolate.
  • Drop heaping tablespoonfuls of dough, 2 inches apart, into 30 mounds on baking sheets.
  • Bake 11 to 13 min. or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets 5 min. Remove to wire racks; cool completely.

Tropical Chunk Cookies

Prepare as directed, stirring 1-1/2 cups toasted sweetened flaked coconut and 1 cup chopped macadamia nuts into cookie dough before spooning onto baking sheets and baking as directed.

Black and White Chocolate Chunk Cookies

Bake and cool cookies as directed. Melt 6 oz. Baker's Semi-Sweet Chocolate as directed on package. Dip half of each cookie in melted chocolate; place on parchment-covered tray. Let stand until chocolate is firm.

Prepare as directed, stirring 1 cup chopped walnuts into cookie dough before spooning onto baking sheets and baking as directed.
