  • Heat oven to 350ºF.
  • Line 13x9-inch pan with parchment, with ends of parchment extending over sides.
  • Combine flour and dry pudding mix. Beat butter and sugar in large bowl with mixer until light and fluffy. Blend in egg and vanilla. Gradually add flour mixture, mixing well after each addition. Stir in nuts. Spread onto bottom of prepared pan.
  • Bake 22 to 25 min. or until toothpick inserted in centre comes out clean. Remove from oven. Immediately sprinkle with chocolate. Let stand 5 min.; spread chocolate into thin layer over dessert. Cool completely. Use parchment handles to remove dessert from pan before cutting into bars.


Prepare using 6 oz. (3/4 of 225-g pkg.) Baker's Semi-Sweet Chocolate.


Prepare using coarsely chopped walnuts or almonds.
