I was not quite sure about greasing the pan, but I did it anyway & the oil rose to the surface of the jello, it did not affect the taste & by the time it had set no one would have known, but it did not assist in the removal from the pan. The colour from the hands eventually seeped into the orange jello making it appear grey with some floating bits of jello - not the most appetizing; fortunately this was well into the party & I don't think anyone noticed it. I questioned the orange jello for the eyes thinking it would not really show up in the orange kool-aid - & it didn't. The hands & the eyeballs certainly added to the atmosphere, but I won't be making this recipe again.
I made this for a Halloween party one year, gave the punch a nice spookiness to it.
