Kids' Serving Sizes

Young children's appetites vary widely from child to child and from day to day. In general, portions for 2 to 3 year olds are about 2/3 the portion size for kids 4 to 6 years. The exception is the Milk Products Group - all kids need at least two full servings a day. Use this chart as a guide to help you estimate portions that are reasonable for youngsters.
